Central State University

Kapp Construction was selected for Phase 2 of a 110,000sf facility for Central State University, including the Natural Science Research & Instruction Labs, Academic classrooms, student study lounges, science and music labs, as well as an early childhood center. Phase 2 also included the demolition of existing facilities and required much care and expertise to provide a seamless transition with the existing building.

The majority of the demolition, site work, and construction was completed while school was in session and minimal disruption to daily  activities was imperitive. Kapp Construction self-performed the site concrete work as well as the structural steel frame bar joist & metal deck floor, rough carpentry, standing seam metal roof, finish carpentry and installation of all hardware under the supervision of Steve Ayars, Superintendent.
