Shawnee High School Renovation

This project consisted of renovation of the first floor of the south side of Shawnee High School. The work included renovating the Consumer Science lab, creating a new science lab from a classroom space, and renovating the rest rooms. This renovation was over 7,100 sf of building space.

Also, a new 12,725 sf two-story Media Center addition was added to the building. This new facility features a clerestory media area with a two-story curtain wall system to enable natural light into the southerly exposed room. The structure houses all manner of media used in the Shawnee High School, and also features a new elevator to make the center handicap accessible.

The classroom renovations were undertaken during the summer recess; all students were able to open the new school year in their new science labs with no delay.
