Rocking Horse Center Expansion

An exciting chapter for Rocking Horse Community Health Center in Springfield has just begun, as work commences on their expansion, allowing adult and pediatric services to be
brought under one roof and expanding the obstetric/prenatal care with space for future growth in such areas as dental and pharmacy.

More important than the $6.5 million building expansion, it is the heart of what Rocking Horse is doing for the community of Springfield that really matters. Their current facility and
staffing do not allow them to fully meet the needs of the city’s under-served population, inhibiting their goal to provide affordable care to as many as possible. Funds from the Affordable Care Act will allow them to do just that. Rocking Horse is passionate about bringing health and wellness to Springfield residents so they may prosper, contribute to our community and simply live life to its fullest—a mission we at Kapp Construction strongly support.

Rocking Horse Center received the notice to proceed in March, beginning construction on the 42,000 square foot expansion. Construction is well underway and on-schedule for completion late-winter 2013 – the foundation will be completed in May.
