Rocking Horse Expansion Complete

To become a community health center for all ages was the vision of the Rocking Horse Community Health Center, and that is exactly what they’ve accomplished with their campus expansion. Rocking Horse is now able to provide expanded pediatric care, adult general medicine, obstetrics and women’s health, and dental and pharmaceutical services, all under one roof.

Rocking Horse has accepted the challenge that every person deserves a medical home and primary care that is accessible, continuous, comprehensive, family-centered, coordinated, compassionate and culturally effective. The new two-story addition includes 20 patient exam rooms, adult and pediatric therapy rooms, seven obstetrics exam rooms equipped with ultrasound equipment, two labs, group therapy rooms, a community meeting room and much needed administrative facilities. A state of the art facility, it features all digital patient records, and the well-planned layout allows for increased staff efficiency and patient privacy.

Kapp Construction performed much of the work, directed by supervisor Steve Ayars, as a partner with Quandel Construction Group. Construction on the expansion was completed early in 2013.
