Emmanuel Baptist

This stunning church project includes a two-story atrium tower placed diagonally in the intersection of the new structure and adjoining existing structure. This allowed installation of an elevator, new stair tower and added handicap accessibility to the total church.

The main level included a voluminous sanctuary with platform and support areas stretching across the front to include a restroom, changing rooms, choir room and sunken baptismal. A control booth for sound, data and video was designed in the rear of the sanctuary for state-of-the-art audio visual support.

The second level allowed for a small gathering lounge, additional classrooms and was designed with access to a future balcony area in mind.

Extensive sitework on the property included redirection of a waterway and a bridge designed over the waterway to accommodate the existing site for the addition. Expansion of the parking lot and an additional parking area were required.

By using Kapp Construction's proven Design/Build expertise, the coordinated effort of value engineering and self-performance provided about 20% more square footage than was envisioned at the conception of the project.
