EDISON STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE > PIQUA, OHIO
The new Robinson Student Career Center (RSCC), located on Edison State’s main Piqua campus, was established to connect students with local businesses and career opportunities. Named in honor of Pat and Thom Robinson, the RSCC provides students with ongoing career-building opportunities for internships, work-study experiences, and job interviews.
“This center was designed to reflect Edison State’s role in connecting students to the careers of their dreams,” said Edison State Community College President Dr. Doreen Larson. “Those careers are ready and waiting here in our cities, in our counties, and in our state.
The RSCC occupies a 5,200-square-foot structural steel addition to Edison’s existing West Hall building, designed by SHP Leading Design. The existing facility was maintained operations throughout construction, except for the original entryway. The pre-engineered metal building features a glass curtain wall, ACM, and phenolic metal wall panels, a standing seam roof, and a ceramic floor and carpet tiles. The $2.4 million project took just eight months to complete and was opened just in time for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
