FIRE AND MARINE (FMI)> SPRINGFIELD, OHIO

Kapp Construction recently completed two office building renovation projects for Fire Manufacturing Innovations (FMI) of Springfield, Ohio. FMI designs, manufactures, installs, and distributes apparatus and compartment solutions for fire and EMS apparatus. Kapp began with the renovation of FMI’s Building 3. The project aimed to transform FMI’s office space into a modern, efficient, and sustainable workspace. The scope of the project included demolition and removal of existing office space and fixtures; design and planning in collaboration with the architect and the owners; construction and installation of new fixtures, equipment, and furniture; and quality assurance and safety checks at every stage.

The renovated space in Building 3 showcases a contemporary and visually appealing design, reflecting FMI’s dedication to innovation and creativity. In line with FMI’s sustainability commitment, the project incorporated eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and waste-reduction measures. The renovated space aligns with FMI’s overall environmental goals.

Following the successful completion of the Building 3 office renovation project, FMI looked to Kapp Construction to embark on another significant endeavor—the renovation of Building 1. The renovation of Building 1 was carried out in four phases:

1. Demolition Phase

2. Design and Planning Phase

3. Construction Phase

4. Final Touches and Inspection Phase

The completion of these two projects was a significant milestone in FMI’s journey to provide an inspiring, efficient, and sustainable workspace for its valued employees.
