GARRIGAN’S OFFICE PLUS > SPRINGFIELD, OHIO

The owners of Garrigan’s Office Plus, a family business for several decades, knew exactly what they were going to do when forced to relocate their business to make room for the Springfield Regional Medical Center downtown. Downtown Springfield was like home, and when the opportunity came up to recycle a building that was built in 1957 (and was home to several automobile dealerships through the years), it just made good business sense to do it. It is a prime location on a corner lot in an area where more than 50,000 cars pass through daily. Existing customers don’t have to look far to find them, and the revitalization of downtown Springfield was becoming a reality.

Kapp Construction performed a complete face-lift of the property while still preserving the recognizable roof line - a reminder of the history the building holds. The interior was completely renovated, creating space for offices, conference space, a small showroom, and much larger warehouse space where online and catalog orders are efficiently filled each day.

Garrigan’s mission to renovate and rebuild an existing structure was the best business move they could have made. Kapp Construction President Randy Kapp, a proactive supporter of bringing business downtown and using existing structures to make it happen, assisted the Garrigan’s in finding the alternate location.
