Kapp Construction renovated Mercy Health’s Springfield Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The total renovation was more than 12,000 square feet, creating a spacious new office and rehabilitation center. The project included a new clinic on the first floor of the building, allowing more convenient access for orthopedic patients. The new clinic features seven exam rooms, a procedure room, and new x-ray lab, as well as office space for supporting staff. Construction work also included the addition of space for rehabilitation services. More than 2,000 square feet of turf was installed for sports-specific rehab and training. Additionally, more than 4,000 square feet of heavy duty rubber gym flooring was used in the rehab area. The design-build renovation was completed in fewer than four months with the help of App Architecture, Kapp Construction Project Manager Adam Russell and Site Superintendent Steve Ayars.
