Richwood Bank hosted an open house to celebrate the grand opening of its new Marysville branch location on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 250 E. Fifth Street. The grand opening introduced Richwood Coffee, commemorating the bank’s 150th year in business. Designed with the community as the top priority, the new two-story branch will bring new banking conveniences, additional parking, and a coffee shop— with a purpose. Built by Kapp Construction and designed by McCall Sharp Architecture, the new location is conveniently located in the heart of historic uptown Marysville. During the construction process there were the normal building challenges, but none were more daunting than the site soil conditions. Within hours of the groundbreaking ceremony in September of 2016, it was discovered that the soil was contaminated with undisclosed residual petroleum product from the site’s previous use. Thanks to great teamwork and quick response, the project schedule was not affected. Kapp is honored to build yet another facility for Richwood Bank, with the Kapp team to make this project finish on-time and within budget.
