ROCKING HORSE CENTER > SPRINGFIELD, OHIO
The Rocking Horse Center is unique among healthcare facilities. Built originally by Kapp Construction in 1999, Rocking Horse Center serves approximately 5,500 patients with more than 16,000 visits annually and is the catalyst for improving healthcare for low income Springfield families.
The design emphasis was to reinforce a very attractive Victorian neighborhood of two-story brick homes and preserve the streetscape along Limestone Street.
In 2004, Kapp Construction finished an addition that doubled the size of the facility to allow for expansion of the pediatrics unit, family therapy unit, and space for additional physicians for each component. The existing facility also received some remodeling for better efficiency.
