TRANSPORTATION FACILITY > SPRINGFIELD, OHIO
Completed just in time for the new school year, this new transportation facility used more than 2,000 cubic yards of concrete, nearly 4 million pounds of fill, 7 miles of wiring, and 2 miles of conduit! This nearly 4.5-acre site, originally the home of Producers Livestock, now houses a 7,200-square-foot pre-engineered metal building which includes an 800-square-foot equipment and storage mezzanine, dispatch center, administration offices and a bus driver break/meeting room.
The bus garage features electronic gate openers, a maintenance area with wash bay, and a 40,000-pound bus lift. This new facility, which can house up to 44 buses and has a fueling station, allows district drivers and dispatch employees to report to one central place.
