Sheehan Brothers Vending Expansion
After experiencing the best growth in the company’s history over the past five years, Sheehan Brothers Vending recently collaborated with Kapp Construction to design a significant expansion.
The Kapp Construction team completed a 14,000-square-foot warehouse space, which involved new site development and expanding their current campus to an adjacent property connected with a driveway. The structure consists of a pre-engineered Nucor metal building and the entire space has refrigerator panel exterior walls to maintain the critical temperature range required for food preparation standards.
The expansion includes a 6,000-square-foot prep kitchen, a 7,000-square-foot warehouse space to support their growing business and expanded service area. Despite challenges presented while working during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project finished strong.
The expansion will allow the company to build a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, including a bakery, where employees will store and assemble food products. Sheehan Brothers’ current commercial kitchen was built in 1978. Moving those operations into a new facility will provide space in the existing building for offices, storage, and product displays.
Sheehan Brothers Vending Owner Dan Sheehan was thrilled with the finished result. “I am super satisfied with Kapp Construction. I always have confidence in the quality of their work and the end product. I also appreciate the fact that they are a local contractor.”
